Soccer6 History

Soccer6 is a game played 6 against 6 , in which each team fields six players (five outfield players and a goalkeeper). The pitch width is betweeen a minimum of 20m and a maximum of 26m and its lenght is between a minimum of 55m and a maximum of 61m. Matches are played indoors or outdoors on artificial grass or natural grass pitches that may be enclosed within boards to prevent the ball from leaving the playing area and keep the game constantly flowing. The ball is of size  #5.

The SWC advocates for its events the form of the game with the boards which are integral part of the game and takes a specific stamp. The game without boards is also promoted.   The pioneering countries of Soccer6 are Canada, USA, Mexico, Germany, Austria, France, Netherlands and UK with achievements of major events since the 70s. For the last 20 years, several events, centers and leagues of Soccer6 have extended around the world mainly in Portugal, Spain, Russia, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, Singapore and Australia among several others.
